Program Grants

The fourth round of the Victorian Neurotrauma Initiative’s research funding was launched in February 2008 and concluded in December 2008 with decision to award $19M dollars for research in brain and spinal cord Injury.

The Minister for the TAC, The Honourable Tim Holding was pleased to announce that Victorians will lead four teams of neurotrauma experts from 30 different research departments of universities and hospitals in Victoria, across Australia and in New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Canada.

Three programs will focus on spinal cord injury research, while one will focus on translating previous investment in traumatic brain injury research into the clinical setting.
