Melinda Rockell
Executive Officer
Melinda Rockell has tertiary qualifications in physiology and pharmacology. Her honours thesis investigated the effect of maternal tobacco smoking on development of the foetal autonomic nervous system. She has undertaken research in the areas of foetal development and cardiovascular medicine at the Perinatal Research Centre, Howard Florey Institute and the University of Melbourne .
Melinda has worked as a Project Manager with the Baker Heart Research Institute and implemented large-scale health promotion initiatives in this role. Melinda has worked with the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) since 2003 where she has had key roles in the development and conduct of the Victorian Trauma Foundation and the Victorian Neurotrauma Initiative.
As Executive Officer, Melinda oversees the activities of the VNI and is responsible for ensuring the organisation meets its objectives and delivers value to stakeholders. Melinda is also the Chair of the VNI Evaluation Committee.
