American Australian Association Fellowships
The American Australian Association awards individual Fellowships for advanced study in the United States of up to US$25,000 each year. The Fellowships build on existing strong social and economic partnerships and foster intellectual exchange between the United States and Australia. Fellowships are named Sir Keith Murdoch Fellows after the Association's principal Founder.

Fresh Science
Fresh Science is a national competition that identifies new and interesting research being done by early-career scientists around the country and releases their stories to the media. Sixteen scientists are selected from around 80 nominations. They are flown to Melbourne for a day of media training after which they present their work to the media, school students, the general public, scientists, government and industry over the course of three days in what's described by some as a boot camp in science communication.

The Prime Minister's Prizes for Science
The Prime Minister's Prizes for Science are a national tribute to excellent and dedicated work in Australian science and science teaching. Each comprises a cash grant, a medallion and a lapel pin of the nature of those worn by recipients of Australian Honours such as the AO.

Nominees must meet the eligibility criteria noted in the Guidelines, which also note an expectation of further public roles for the Prize recipients during the year following their award. Eligibility for the Science Prizes is limited to Australian citizens or those who hold permanent resident status in Australia.

RACV Sir Edmund Herring Memorial Scholarship
The RACV Scholarship aims to prevent road trauma and improve the quality of care delivered to road trauma victims. Applicants must be health professionals who are resident and working in the state of Victoria. The successful candidate(s) receive(s) up to $40,000 to undertake a project that will benefit the motoring public. Projects: may focus on those who are directly or indirectly impacted by road trauma; may take the form of research, practical applications or preventive programs; must be able to be completed within one year.

Victoria Fellowships
The Victorian Government annually awards up to six Victoria Fellowships to emerging leaders in engineering, science or technology. Each Fellow receives a travel grant of up to $18,000 to undertake a short-term overseas study mission to assist in developing a commercial idea, undertaking specialist training or career development.

Victoria Prize
The Victoria Prize of $50,000 is awarded annually by the Victorian Government for a scientific discovery or technological innovation, or a series of such achievements that significantly advances knowledge and has produced, or has the clear potential to produce, a commercial outcome or other benefit to the community.
